At age 40, Bob's life was filled with alcoholic binges and he was
near death.
Jails, hospitals, psychiatric wards, strait jackets, delirium tremens,
and skid row had all become a way of life to him.
This book is a response to that time in his life, when he was without answers, knowing that others today are where he used to be.
It is only by the intervention of God that Bob gained sobriety in December of 1975 and is alive today to tell his story.
Bob has now been sober for over 30 years and continues to be actively involved in alcohol and drug recovery.
Bob spent 3 years as the overseer of the alcohol and drug program at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, California.
In addition, he has spoken on numerous occasions at churches, youth groups, schools, retreats, and recovery programs on how he finally gained his sobriety.
He has also served as a special alcohol and drug counselor at one of the Billy Graham Crusades.
